Tung Oil Paste
Island Teak Tung Oil Paste is a unique wood polish created by Island Teak (Canada).
Our Tung Oil Paste contains 100% non toxic, naturally hardening Tung Oil from sustainably farmed and harvested Tung Nuts. We use a lengthy and controlled UV light process to convert the raw oil into a more user friendly product which has superior qualities to raw Tung Oil. Nothing physical is added or taken away from the 100% raw non toxic Tung Oil.
Our Tung Oil Paste is applied to either bare wood or on most poly or varnished finishes. It will not chip, crack or leave wet rings on its surface.
Apply Island Teak Tung Oil Paste by dabbing small blobs onto your surface and then use a hair dryer to melt the paste onto the wood. On bare wood the warmed Tung Oil Paste will penetrate into the wood surface. Use a cotton cloth to spread out the melted paste evenly. After an hour or two buff thoroughly with a clean cotton cloth. Repeat this process after 24 hours and apply a minimum of two layers. Additional layers will enhance lustre and protection.
Island Teak Tung Oil Paste is ideal for all fine woods, both interior and exterior.
